Boat Slip and Harbor Facilities
For members with boats, our Club has covered sheds (with and without slings) and fixed and floating open slips in a wide variety of sizes. Parking lot storage and boat lockers are also available. Please call (281) 471-1255 and ask our Harbormaster for specific costs. All slips are individually metered for electricity. Members have unlimited, free use of our pump-out facility, and our in-harbor fuel dock offers reasonable rates on both gasoline and diesel. We also have a long guest pier for visiting boats.
Women's Sailing Camp
Women's Sailing Association offers a three-day camp each summer where women learn to sail or improve their skills from other women. The emphasis is on safety, on-the-water time and fun.
Youth Sailing Program (Ragnots)
HYC has one of the most acclaimed youth sailing programs in the country. The Ragnots sail throughout the year and hold several sailing camps in the summer. The focus here is on discipline and teamwork, as well as enjoying a variety of water-related activities.
Yachting Association and Mosquito Fleet
For great fun on and off the water, the Yachting Association and Mosquito Fleet are social groups that you will want to check out. You don’t need a boat to have fun with these groups.
HYC has a long tradition of outstanding race management and has received the prestigious St. Petersburg Trophy twice. In addition to conducting club and area regattas, HYC typically hosts two or three national and international racing events each year. Becoming involved with the race committee and race management at HYC is a rewarding way to contribute to the sailing community.
Whether you want to race your own boat or join in as crew, HYC has many active and competitive fleets including PHRF, level 70, one-design and dinghy racing. Contact James Liston at (281) 867-0962 for more information.
