PATH FORWARD COMMITTEE
OF THE HOUSTON YACHT CLUB
Progress Report #6
October 11, 2008
Greetings:
The In-town Luncheon this week (see details below) will be the first of
two or possibly three Member Input Meetings at which you can express
your views as to the items you would like to see addressed in the
harbor rebuild.
As a result, I am encouraging as many of you as possible to attend this
luncheon
During the lunch itself I will make a brief presentation to bring you
up to date on the activities of the PFC, as well as answer any
questions about the Committee which you may have.
Immediately after lunch is completed we will move into the Member Input
Meeting.
The format of the Member Input Meeting will be quite simple.
1. We ask that you limit the length of
your comments to no more than three minutes, to allow as many members
as possible to speak.
2. The PFC will ask clarifying questions
as necessary, but will not react to any suggestions, as the purpose is
to get member input, not to have an active dialogue or debate about the
merits of any suggestions.
3. The PFC will ask each person who
speaks to follow-up their comments with an email to the Committee
summarizing their comments.
4. The PFC will ask each person who
speaks to provide us with their email address so that we can easily
follow up with each person as we consider their input
Luncheon Details:
The Luncheon will be Tuesday, October 14th at 11:30 A. M. at The Briar
Club, 2603 Timmons Lane. This location is at the intersection of
Timmons Lane and Westheimer, ¼ mile east of the Highland Village
Shopping Center.
Payment for the meal will be by HYC club charge. Please make your
reservations in advance by calling June Shaw, In-Town Luncheon
Chairman, at 713-629-7747.
On behalf of the Path Forward Committee,
John Peter
