Established in 1946, this sustaining organization represents the ladies of the Houston Yacht Club in their effort to promote good fellowship among all members and to encourage participation in the social activities of the Club.

We develop camaraderie while having fun activities. Our Association donates annually to the Club, with items such as a new sound system in the ballroom, lighting improvements in the ladies restroom, hotel room furnishings and decorations, etc. And, our Ladies Association donates to local charitable organizations.

Want to make new acquaintances, go on excursions, play bridge or other games, attend luncheons with interesting programs and exciting style shows? Join us for events that cover a wide variety of interests for all ages.

• Cocktail Party - membership entitles the member and one guest to attend the annual cocktail party in September. Have an elegant fun-filled evening with great food, fabulous wine and champagne, and entertaining music for listening and dancing.
• Scheduled programs - luncheons are held during the second week of the month.
• Games Day - the fourth Wednesday of each month. Bridge, Mahjong dominoes, etc., for those interested. Bridge is "friendly" with monetary prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as a Grand Slam. Don't want to play bridge? Just join us for lunch and social time.
• Out of Town Excursions - may take us to New Orleans or San Antonio with day trips to Galveston or Lake Charles.
• Holiday Market On The Bay - held in November with a variety of crafts and products from various vendors. This event is one of the best markets for great Christmas shopping. Bring your friends, enjoy a buffet lunch at the Club, and make a day of it.

Annual dues of $40 are charged per membership, and entitle the Ladies Association member and one guest to attend the annual cocktail party in September, as well as participate in all the activities mentioned above.
